Terms of Service
These terms are between you and [operator name: set OPERATOR_NAME] ("we", "us"), who runs Postloop. By creating an account or using Postloop you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Postloop does
Postloop turns a site's new posts into emails for the people who follow it. Publishers create feeds, people follow them, and we send the emails. You can be a publisher (you run a feed) or a follower (you receive emails from a feed).
Your account
- You must give a working email address and keep access to it. We sign you in with a link sent to that address, or with Google.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything you set up through the API, webhooks or the browser extension.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and in any case at least 16.
What publishers promise
- You will follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Every person you add or import has agreed to hear from you, and you can show how and when if asked.
- Each of your feeds shows a valid mailing address where you can receive mail, which we put in the footer of your emails.
- You are the sender of your emails. You are responsible for following the email, marketing and privacy laws that apply to you and to your followers, such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR and similar rules.
- You own your content, and you give us permission to store it, process it and send it as part of the service.
Followers
Followers can change how they receive emails, or stop them, using the links in every email and on the follow pages. We act on unsubscribes, bounces and spam complaints automatically.
Plans and payment
Free and paid plans are described on the plan page. Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel, and payments are handled by Stripe. When you cancel, paid features stop at the end of the period you paid for. Prices can change with notice before your next renewal. Refunds: [refund terms: to be decided by the operator].
Pausing and ending
We can pause sending, remove content or suspend an account if we reasonably believe these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are being broken, if spam complaints pass safe limits, or if we must by law. We will try to tell you why. You can delete your feeds, or your whole account, at any time from the dashboard. Followers' data is deleted with the feed, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Our responsibilities and limits
We work to keep Postloop available and to deliver your emails, but we cannot promise that every email will arrive, because delivery also depends on mail providers and inboxes we do not control. The service is provided as is, without promises about uptime or results beyond what the law requires. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.
Changes
We may update these terms. For changes that matter we will tell you by email or in the dashboard before they apply. Using Postloop after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law and courts: set OPERATOR_GOVERNING_LAW].
