Acceptable Use Policy
Postloop only works if people want the emails they get. This policy says what you may not do with it.
Not allowed
- Sending to people who did not ask for your emails. That includes bought, rented, scraped or shared lists, and addresses collected for another purpose.
- Importing a list without being able to show when and how each person agreed. Imported people get a confirmation email before they receive posts.
- Hiding who you are: false sender names, misleading subjects, or no mailing address in your feed.
- Content that is illegal where you or your followers live, including fraud, phishing, malware, and content that exploits or endangers children.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech aimed at people for who they are, or content that incites violence.
- Adult content sent to people who did not choose it, and anything that breaks the rules for regulated goods or services where you operate (for example gambling, medicines or financial products).
- Using Postloop to test, probe or attack other systems, to guess email addresses, or to get around our limits, suppressions or confirmation steps.
- Pointing a feed at a site you do not control in order to speak for it, or claiming a feed that is not yours.
What we watch for
We look at bounces, spam complaints and unsubscribes for every feed. If complaints or bounces pass safe limits, we pause that feed's sending and email the owner. Addresses that bounce hard or complain are suppressed for everyone, and we do not lift a suppression for a complaint.
What happens if you break this policy
Depending on how serious it is, we may pause a feed, remove content, limit your account or end it. We may do this without notice when there is a risk to other people or to our ability to send mail. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and we will review it.
Reporting abuse
If you got an email from a Postloop feed that you did not ask for, use the unsubscribe link in it, and send us the email so we can look at the feed.
